Breakfast at the hotel then we walked to Wharf 6 to catch a ferry and bumped into the couple we had met in Melbourne Old Gaol who were catching the same ferry as us although getting off at a different stop!
Before we left the hotel we heard that there had been a fatal plane crash involving a club plane from our local (NZ) Hawke’s Bay Aero Club that morning, which was very upsetting to hear.
More Harbour Bridge climbers.
We visited Taronga Zoo. Well worth a visit.
A Rose-crowned Fruit-dove.
A King Parrot.
A Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo.
Wallabies and Kangaroos. Note the lizard joining one of them.
Lemurs.
Koalas. It’s a hard life!
We had to leave the zoo sooner than we wanted as we had tickets to a 90 mins ‘Great Opera Hits’ performance at the Opera House, in the Joan Sutherland Theatre.
Obligatory pre-performance ice cream.
We were even encouraged to sing at the end so we can now say we’ve sung at the Sydney Opera House!
Noel taking a picture for some tourists.
The sun was beginning to set.
We had a pre-dinner ice cream to check a different manufacturer.
We had dinner in the same place as the first night and were charged less because they recognised us! 🙂
Fireworks!
