We went to a local café before going to MOTAT (Museum Of Transport And Technology) in the afternoon.

The Hot Chocolate was highly recommended – it was a stick of chocolate melting into hot milk – lovely.

The museum was fascinating – we were there 4 hours and could have stayed a lot longer.

Noel’s getting a bit stocky…

There is a tram to take visitors between the main site and the aviation site.

Shorts Sunderland.

Lockheed Lodestar.

Miles Magister. Built in 1938 this plane was based at Woodley (UK), with the RAF 8 Elementary and Reserve Flying School until 1945. I grew up and live in Woodley!

This plane can’t be real, but it is! It’s a Transavia PL12 Airtruk.

In the evening Lynne’s friend Phil arrived in his recently-acquired Pontiac Grand Ville that only just fitted on the driveway 🙂 and we had a delicious dinner, cooked by Lynne.
