Friday 15 November was Noel’s birthday so Max and Rose invited us and Pauline out to Clearview Winery for lunch.

Clearview is owned by Noel’s second cousin Tim Turvey and he was around so joined us at the table. He very kindly brought out a half-bottle of his dessert wine which was really, really nice 🙂 🙂 and as we left he gave Noel a bottle of Chardonnay 🙂

After lunch we went on to Clifton Café at Te Awanga for a coffee…

Followed by birthday cake.

By now, we have 2 second-hand bicycles so we went for an early evening cycle ride and found a Food & Wine Festival at Ahuriri so despite still being full from lunch we both ate a hangi but declined the bouncy shark!
