Max kindly took us to the Napier RSA (Returned Services Association) where we had a good (large 🙂 ) lunch.
In the afternoon we visited Eskdale Church.
We also stopped off at Esk Valley wines, tasted some (it would have been rude not to 🙂 ) and I found almost the spitting image of the first cat I owned.
We then went for a 9.1 mile / 14.7km cycle ride to Max’s for coffee and back, up Bluff Hill, just beating the sunset, which was just as well as we don’t have lights on the bikes.
A few minutes there was a lovely glow in the sky.
