Wednesday.
We were going to meet Max for lunch at The Boatramp beside Napier harbour but first had to check the ice creams were still of the required standard! This picture shows how dedicated we were to this investigation as it was colder and windier outside than recently so we ate them indoors.
We had a bit of spare time so drove up to the Bluff Hill Lookout which has views along the bay and in particular of the Port.
There was a cargo ship being guided out of the Port by tugs and some dredging going on too.
Our lunch at The Boatramp. Note there are only 3 spoons being used for dessert. I didn’t have any. Oh no. Not me. Honest….
Dessert eating requires commitment and concentration! 🙂
In the afternoon we took some wedding flowers and wedding cake across to our neighbours Judy and Graham.
We also went to a very good local second-hand book shop so David could have a book for his journey home.
Then David left to refuel his hire car and take it back to Napier airport. He was going to catch the same flight as Laura had the previous day. Noel and I met David at the airport and waited with him for the flight. He also got a bag of jet planes to send him off. 🙂
There was a storm out to sea and the rain arrived while we were waiting. David walking out to the plane.
After David left Noel and I drove to Max’s and had a drink with him and Rose. Their friend Dawn turned up and joined us for a drink and took some wedding flowers.
