Tuesday.
We had thought we might take Laura (and David) to Taupo or Rotorua but Laura didn’t seem that keen on such a long day before flying out in the evening so instead we had a relaxed day.
We had breakfast and cleared up at the Villa, leaving at 11am.
We took all the wedding flowers around to Max’s while we sorted out luggage and tasks. We left David and Laura to look around Napier while Noel and I did some post-wedding things such as taking most of the vases back to the flower shop. Nat from the flower shop Zinnia had done a brilliant job for us and we found out she had helped make some ribbons for the pew ends while Jason and Michelle were picking up the flowers, which was really nice of her.
We finally met up with David and Laura and had a late, light lunch sitting outside at the Masonic. We bumped into Pete who was taking two friends to the Museum opposite where we were sitting. Then we drove David and Laura to Te Mata Peak to look at the views. It was a little bit windy!
Craggy Range Winery.
Half way down we stopped at the café/restaurant for a drink while looking at the view.
Then we drove straight to Napier airport as Laura wanted to be there an hour before her flight at 18:05 to Auckland and then on to the UK. We gave her some NZ jet plane sweets to send her on her way.
Laura’s bag being loaded!
We were going to eat at The Thirsty Whale but it was heaving so we went to a local Thai place which was very good followed by a drink at The Thirsty Whale.
