Tania came up to Napier from Wellington for the funeral of a friend’s mum. Noel and I met her beforehand for lunch at a lovely little garden café, the Wild Roses café, at the Missionview Gardens.
The food display was something else. Below is a view of just some of the cakes in a cabinet. AND none of us had any. Promise!
In the afternoon we went to the 90th birthday celebrations of Ron Ward (radio operator/air gunner on Catalinas in WW2) with his family and friends at Summerset Retirement Village.
Later Tania rejoined us and we bought fish and chips which we ate on the seafront at Ahuriri.
Oh sorry, did I forget to mention the ice creams? 🙂
